Pat Wictor (w/ Songwriter Circle) tomorrow (10/15) in NYC, and upcoming
Dear friends and fans--
It's been an eventful few weeks, hasn't it? I'm going to TiVo the Presidential debate tomorrow night, and instead host a night of songwriters, singing works they've written with the support of the Manhattan Songwriters Circle, which I've run for almost 9 years now.
Here's where and when:
Wednesday, October 15, 7pm
Members of the Manhattan Songwriters Circle
@ The Actors Institute (TAI)
150 West 30th Street, 14th floor
New York, NY (btw/ 6th-7th Avenues)
Circle members Toby Fagenson and Jane Babits, Josh Sanders, Matthew
Broady, Marc Raphael, Bruce Markow and myself will be performing
songs we've written in the Circle. Come out and support us, and
bring friends!
There will be wine and cheese light refreshments. $10 suggested
donation.
AND
Mark the calendar for my upcoming NYC shows:
*Friday, December 12, 8pm The Good Coffeehouse, Park Slope, Brooklyn, NY
My good friend, percussionist Cheryl Prashker will be accompanying me.
Cheryl played on my last 3 CDs, and is my main collaborator. A don't-miss show!
*Thursday, January 15, 7pm The Living Room, East Village, NYC
I'll be sharing the stage with Jon Shain, swapping songs and jamming.
More news:
•-I've got copies of the Mission Street Project's new compilation, "Make Levees: Songs from the American Kitchen Table, Vol. 2." I co-wrote two songs on there with Erik Balkey, "Make Levees Not War," and "When the War Is Won." These are available at shows, or on CDBaby: http://cdbaby.com/cd/missionstreet2
•-I'm opening a private practice in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. I'm giving music lessons including guitar lessons, songwriting help, and performance coaching. And, I'm serving as producer on selected recording projects. If you know anyone who might be interested in working with me, please have them email me at patwictor@earthlink.net.
That's all for now! Many thanks, and hope to see you soon!
Warm regards,
Pat Wictor
