Dear friends and fans--

My good friend Joe Jencks is coming through the area on Friday, September 12.

I'd like to organize a house concert somewhere in (or near) Westchester County, featuring Joe and me.   Joe is an amazing singer--his voice is an extraordinary instrument--and a songwriter / performer full of great songs and stories.  We've done several shows together, and we collaborate beautifully, singing and playing behind each other, making for a very special night of music.

Check out Joe's music at www.joejencks.com.  He was a finalist at Kerrville this year, did the Emerging Artist Showcase at Falcon Ridge last year.  He's one of my closest musical friends--he sang many of the harmonies on my last two CDs, and I played and sang on his last CD as well.

House concerts are one of the best settings to play (and listen to!) music.  It's just musicians and listeners, gathered in someone's living room for a night of "unplugged" music.  The intimacy is unmatched, and performers usually stretch beyond their usual, trying new things and reaching new heights.

Would you be willing to consider hosting me and Joe for a concert in your living room?  If you know you'd like to, or if you're intrigued by the idea, but not sure of what's involved, please drop me a note and we'll talk more about it.  :-)
