Pat Wictor in Brooklyn, November 8! new CD update!
Dear folks--
In a couple weeks I'll be playing at this amazing new room in Brooklyn, called Jalopy. It's my first time there, and I want to make a pretty good showing! Would love to see you there--not a bad drive on a Sunday--and I want to invite you to bring friends and spread the word!
Sunday, November 8, 8pm
Jalopy
315 Columbia Street
Brooklyn, NY 11231
718-395-3214
www.jalopy.biz
$10 admission
Subway directions: F or G train to Carroll St. (first car if coming from North/West). Walk 1 block up Smith St to 1st Place. Make left. Walk down past highway to Columbia St. Make left to 315 Columbia.
Want complete directions for public transportation? Use HopStop! (http://www.hopstop.com) You can get train, subway, bus, and walking directions!
Jalopy is an all-ages, true listening room dedicated to American "roots" music--the blues, appalachian, old-time, roots gospel, and jazz--and all the artists playing there have some grounding in those traditions. (My friend Danny Schmidt is playing there Nov. 1--he's a great songwriter. Go see him too!) They also hold numerous classes and workshops around roots music. Great folks, doing good things!
News:
My new live album, "Living Ever-Lovin' LIVE," featuring solo performances and guest appearances from my friends Abbie Gardner, Stephanie Corby, David Glaser, and Carl Cacho, is coming along, and sounding great! The audio is all done--just need to get graphics and manufacturing together. You can help: Pre-order the CD now on my website here:
https://patwictor.com/index.php?page=cds
....or at the Nov. 8 show. You'll receive the finished CD at the end of November (5-6 weeks before its release in January), and I'll have a way to meet those considerable final costs in getting it out!
Thanks for listening, and see you soon!
:-)
