Hi Folks--

I'm playing at the University Cafe in Stony Brook on January 10, as part of the Sunday Street Acoustic Series hosted by WUSB's Charlie Backfish.  I'm very, very excited about this show for two reasons:

•-It's a co-bill with one of my musical heroes, Harry Manx (www.harrymanx.com).  Harry is a fellow lap slide player who studied in India for many years, and seamlessly and brilliantly combines the blues with Indian music.  He's also got a warm, gruff voice, writes fantastic songs, and does memorable covers of tunes.   I've listened to his work very closely, and have been meaning to meet him for years.

•-It's my Long Island CD release for my new CD, "Living Ever-Lovin' LIVE," a collection of live performances from around the East Coast, with a bunch of new songs.

Make a left into the Main Entrance from Nicolls Road. At the first light make a right. Go to the second stop sign and make a left. Follow the road until you see the stadium parking lot on your right hand side. The University Café is located in the Stony Brook Union Building. Look for the red awning with the words "University Café."
