Pat Wictor here--copious red hair, lap slide guitar, roots Americana music.  I'm coming back to North Carolina next week, and if you're around the Durham area, I'd certainly love to see you!  (And if you're not, but don't mind driving, even better!)  I've released a new CD since the last time you saw me, and will be playing several new songs.  Here are two events next weekend:

Sitting in with me will be my good friends, bassist Don Porterfield and guitarist / singer-songwriter Jon Shain.  It's going to be a fun (and steamy) day--bring sunglasses, sunblock, and something to sit on!



The Festival for the Eno is a beautiful environmentally-themed gathering, with top regional and national talent.  You can catch great music all day, on three stages.  What a great way to celebrate Independence Day!

House concerts are technically private gatherings, so this email is your invitation to attend!  It's a cozy, welcoming setting, a great way to hear live music.  And, it'll be air-conditioned and indoors--mmm good!  :-)



Mark the calendar:  For my listeners in the coastal area of NC, I'm pleased to announce my return to the Down East Folk Arts Society concerts in New Bern and Beaufort, on February 6 and 7, 2009.  Looking forward to it!



Other news:  My new CD "Sunset Waltz" is now receiving nationwide radio play, and went to #2 on the Folk-DJ chart (which tracks folk and specialty shows) in May!
